Journalism class 1960...(cont.)

Posted 07-31-2008 at 12:18 PM by Miss Blue
Previously..... I am glad to be leaving this big, dirty town, yet I am embarrassed to be going back home. Home? We have no home. Where will we stay? I vow that I will return home just long enough to put the next step of my plan to work, and I feel lighter and ask Dad what time we leave......

We arrive back "home" at dusk and we collect our suitcases once again from the back of the bus..This time no one is waiting to take us somewhere to spend the night..We are just a block...

Mountain Folk

Posted 07-29-2008 at 10:26 PM by Miss Blue
It was in August some forty and more years ago when my life long dream came true..I was the young bride of a "mountain man"

My dream since early childhood had always been to marry a man from the mountains and live there in the beautiful, natural majesty of some of what I considered Gods greatest masterpiece in landscaping..

The only time I had ever been to the mountains was on a short trip to Charleston, West Virginia when I was about 8 years old..What an impression...

A Rally Good Rant...Try it

Posted 07-27-2008 at 03:17 PM by Miss Blue
Good bye and good riddance! You came into my life nearly 40 years ago when I was young and vulnerable and eager to be an adult. I didn't like you or your effects on me at first, and my body tried desperatly to warn me You caught me at every opportunity you could and took advantage of me, and like a child, I succumbed

You have used me and abused me for forty years! No more, I refuse to let you wear me down and possibly be the death of me! Out of my life..NOW!

Previously..
We are just in time to board the bus and settle down for the two hour trip..My sister is reading a book she brought along, Mom is quiet and sits beside dad in the seats before us..Daddy is smiling and talking to another man.

I am making a plan as the open road and the farm houses and pastures pass us by..I see the lights in the windows in the twilight as we pass through the small towns..Now and then I catch a rare glimpse of a home and the family within..My imagination...

Why Blue Blogs

Posted 07-17-2008 at 08:58 AM by Miss Blue
I blog for a very personal reason..my children and grandchildren and their generations whom I will never meet in this current life..

There were secrets in my mom's family, that have never been revealed to us, secrets about why my brother was adopted to my aunt? Secrets making me wonder if he is really my twin, because of the connection we had even though we rarely saw each other while growing up..

My mom was a hard worker who did without everything except the bare necessities...
