moving to hoffman estates any advice?

i am moving to hoffman estates because i have been transferred wiht my job. i will be commuting often in the surrounding areas of h.e., eligin, st. charles, etc. i have found a great place to start out. it seems safe and clean and very affordable.
any opinions about village park of hoffman estates or the hoffman estates, schaumberg area?
any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated!
