Twice Bit

Posted Today at 10:31 AM by aliasfinn

Strange thing happened while camping one night,
My arm had suffered a recluse bite.

The bite had turned purple and started to swell,
So I captured the spider and sent him to hell.

Then a mosquito showed up, to do me more harm,
He picked the same spot, right on the arm.

The fool sucked out the venom, and died on the spot,
This was a true story, believe it or not.
They call me Trinity

Saturday ~~ June 24, 2017 ~~ When did society become....

Posted Today at 05:33 AM by CSD610

so mentally and emotionally fragile and unstable? Does anyone have any idea when this happened? Does anyone have any idea why it happened? I certainly don't but I would bet the farm many humans in society today would have never survived the environment my Brother and I grew up in.

I should probably put the soap box away right now however, I really would like to know what the generations past starting with my Mother's era did differently to raise mentally and emotionally stable...
Is there a limit for the Ignore List?

In fact, stop at the Northwest New Mexico Visitor Center before you head down 117. They have lots of info and maps there, good exhibits and the rangers can give you lots of good advice. A very nice

Muscle Memory Saves the Day!

Posted Yesterday at 06:28 PM by hunterseat (Keeping it Kind)

Actually, muscle memory will save your life. Did you even know you have muscle memory?

One of my favorite examples is the seasoned driver, possibly middle age, been driving for decades. I'll assume you join me in that category.
You're driving down a street, cars parked on both sides. Automatically your brain is scanning for pedestrians who will magically appear between the cars. You're distracted by a party going on in the park to the left. You nod approvingly at the convertible...

Please know that I'm not making an assumption about you, OP. In today's world people just seem to forget that they can be cordial and solve matters without making it into a "thing."

I agree
It's best to be cordial first and try to ask them/talk it out...
