I have been inspired...

Posted 06-19-2008 at 08:27 AM by weatherologist (I have syrup in my bellybutton & I like it...)
I have read a few blogs from friends on the forum today. I have always wanted to have my own blog but never knew how/where to start. Of course, I have always wanted to start journaling and have never started that. I can only blame myself for that one. I have purchased the journals, just never sat down to start them. I would like to start a journal for each of my kids, thought that would be nice to have later when they grow up. One day...

So, here I am, my first blog entry. ...

Why Is Health Care So High In This Country?

Posted 06-20-2008 at 09:13 PM by GCSTroop (Troop's Blog)
As a relatively young person (26 years old) I have had little experience with doctors other than the occassional check-up. Most of my adult life, until this past year, was in the military and you only went to the doctor (what we called the "medical hobby shop") as a last resort. So, it was my first "real" experience being referred to a specialist earlier last week.

It all started when I went to my primary care physician early last week for my regular checkup. One...

The Uncertain Future...

Posted 07-04-2008 at 02:31 PM by stotan88
Once upon a time, there was a boy who wanted, more than anything to go to China. However, he lived many hundreds of years ago, before planes and trains and cars. Being a determined boy, he decided to try and dig his way there. One day he began to dig a hole, hoping that one day, years in the future, he'd make it to the other side of the world.

And so everyday he dug more and more, deeper and deeper, his determination never subsiding. And though he knew he wanted to reach China...

My Personality

Posted 07-05-2008 at 10:51 AM by GCSTroop (Troop's Blog)
I recently read some responses on what people would like to read about on a blog and many of the answers had to do with people's true personalities. So here is my unflattering personality:

I passed by her again and again thinking I should stop. What would I say? How would I say it? Would this woman really even give me the time of day?

I felt my heart flutter, the adrenaline rush, the thought of doing it. I thought in my mind over and over again just how much it'd mean...

Up on Mountain, thoughts of Past and Future.

Posted 07-18-2008 at 06:47 AM by Summering
Ah, Such a beautiful day in the Poconos.
Living on the crest of a mountain is just a joy........I might add except when the winter snow flakes fly, or ice forms on the drive from one of those blustery storms.
Way up here, there is a great view all around. Fields, farms, mountain ranges...everything nice and green.

I started a new album of old pictures and things past.........because as we move forward.......all those things become endearing to our hearts.
