What Kind Of Restaurant Would I Open If I Were In The Food Business?

Posted 12-08-2008 at 08:59 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Someone on the Food & Drink forums has conjured up a little thought the other day. Through the commentary of that poster, a suggestion, though wild as it may seem to some, had been submitted to me. It's been said that I should open a restaurant. That was borne out of one person's thoughts based on the things I've shared regarding my life either eating out or in the kitchen. So it brings this question right here on Case's Column: What kind of restaurant would I open if I ever...

Once Upon a Time

Posted 12-12-2008 at 06:53 PM by ArmyPoohFan317
Once upon a time, a girl was set up to meet a guy. The two met and hit it off right away. The romance was fast, and she was swept off her feet. 6 months later, she was engaged to her knight in bullet proof, camo armor.

But, times were not always easy for our young couple. They faced many hurdles. PTSD, deployments, seminary life, crazy advice from friends, and the usual entanglements of a 21st century romance.

But, with constant prayer and lots of communication, the...

How the Las Vegas Real Estate Market Goes

Posted 12-14-2008 at 03:19 PM by olecapt
Hear Lots of discussion about where the Las Vegas Real Estate market is. So let us take a look at the History and see...

This chart plots the median and average price for single family homes in Las Vegas since January 1, 2000. I would have liked to have gone back 10 years but that data is hard to come by.

What we see is the famed bubble in living color. We have added a couple of metrics...

A Different New Year's Eve

I thought about it before I went to bed last night...how different this New Year's Eve was. DS complained that hubby did not get his bubbly apple cider for that ceremonial toast. Well, he's got something to complain about! Hubby didn't even buy us a bottle of champagne for THAT ceremonial toast. We kinda felt all blah this year, a carry over of the blah over the holidays. For the first time there was no bubbly, the first time I went to bed before the ball dropped and didn't care about watching the...

The Funny Thing About The Common Cold

Posted 01-16-2009 at 06:59 PM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)
Hard to believe, and you won't notice through your screens and keyboards that I've had a little bit of the crud this week, but your ol' pal Case has been a bit sick. Oh, I've had worse, but I've also had situations where I developed the symptoms and it wasn't a terribly serious affair. What I've had this week is the latter. You wouldn't have wanted to be around me last year, when everybody got "The Bug". You remember that, don't you? I didn't think so. That,...
