Come up with something better

Posted 10-03-2008 at 03:25 PM by cottonwood2420
I would like to publicly thank the 228 members of the House who voted against the bailout bill for doing the right thing. By defeating this bill, it sends a message to the White House to come up with something better for the country, Wall Street and Main Street. Spending $700 billion dollars to bail businesses and the people who ran them out would only temporarily relieve the problems facing our country and would not be a permanent solution. This is unacceptable.

The taxpayers should not have to pay for the inexcusable mistakes made by the bankers and the government. I suggest that if President Bush and his cohorts want to help the country, they should go back to the drawing board and put together a revised version of the bailout bill that would provide a more permanent solution to this incorrigible economic disaster that we are currently embroiled in.
