Happy New Year! I Suppose...

I decided to have a look at my blog to see when the last time was that I had posted. I was aghast to see that its been over a year since my last entry. 
So what's been happening you may wonder? I could just say SSDD but that doesn't say much. Generally my life seems to have paralleled the country as a whole. My wife & I don't go out to eat anymore. We don't really go anywhere or do anything much anymore. Our lives are centered around our home & we travel via the internet.
I did journey up to Alaska last September for a couple weeks but that's been the extent of our travels. I've also been trying to find work in the Charlotte, NC metro area which has been a very frustrating & daunting task.
I recently had cataract surgery performed on my eyes at the Southpark Surgery Center during the weeks prior to and after Christmas. Both procedures were done on an outpatient basis & I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes!
I have another surgery coming up in a couple weeks that will require a short hospital stay.
Hopefully though it will go well & I will not have to make another repeat visit in a couple years.
