Band Needs STABILITY, Australia?

We are a female fronted band in the U.S., thinking of moving to the music scene in Brisbane or Melbourne, since both have been written about for their great pop/rock music scenes! 
If knowing our "sound" helps you know what 2 suggest, RE: the music scene, you can look us up:
Moderator cut: No blogs, journals, personal website, MySpace, FB, etc. links allowed.
Here's the "sitch":
There are a lot of cool things about America but the music scene is limited here while the recession lasts. And it will LAST, as long as our government keeps letting ILLEGAL immagrants take jobs as we pay their healthcare out of our tax $$$, while they pay no taxes.
We anticipate that it will take AWHILE to change....
(ya..20 something yr. olds are pretty peeved 2)
So, this band in the U.S., is thinking about moving to a place that has it more "together" at the moment! The BAND, will also need affordable housing & jobs.
1 of us works for a large label here & I worked for a well known film company on the business side & ON SET. The 3rd, is a Teacher. We can also work teaching English, if that's available or teach music.
Also, how is internet and cell phone coverage? Do you guys have AT&T there?
