German exchange student saerches a host family in California or FL

Posted 10-14-2008 at 07:46 AM by crazyangel

hello! I am an German exchange student and at this moment with an organization placed in upper Michigan. But I don't like it here because its very cold and my town is very small and there is really nothing around here. I am here to do a Senior high school year and get the Graduation. Im am searching now for a new host family in California or Florida near the beach. Maybe you are from this place and you are interestet in an exchange student or you can maybe just help me and say me a good website where I can search for a host family. I would be happy for every kind of help!

I suggest that you need to re-think the reason that you came to America. If you look at a map you will see that southern California and Florida are a very small part of America and represent a tiny fraction of the American experience. Most Americans don't live near a tropical beach.

I hope that you have discussed this with the organization that sponsored you and with the kind family that has agreed to host you. I can't help but think it would be very disruptive to your education to transfer at this point in the school year.
