Where Is a Good Place to live in Maine?

PLEASE HELP!!! I have been looking at this site for a while and decided i should register myself!
I am wondering where a good place to live is. I am from upstate New York, single, and have no kids. I am currently a nursing student, so i would have to be near a hospital.
I heard taxes were high in Maine, but real estate is low? i dont know how true that is! I am looking to move to Maine, in the next 2-5 years. I love being outdoors, and in the "country" I hunt so that would be a big part of my decision! I would like some land to hunt and fish. I would also like to be near a city/town. I am young, 20 years old, so it is a big step for me!
