 We just became Landlords of our building.. we hired a tenant that we trusted, he told us he is a professional painter which we belived him cause he has done some repairs for us around the building.. anyways he has been painting a suite and we find out today that he spilled paint all over the carpets.. the lenghth is about 3 feet wide and 3 feet lenght wise, he didnt even come tell us just hid it with plastic bag on top.. I felt it and feels little sticky and little damp... I need to know is there anything we can use to take that out.. or are we looking at putting new carpets in the suite.. the carpet color is a real light brown, the paint color is real dark brown.. it looked like they tried to scrub it out which made it worse and smudged it..

I'd give the painter the option of getting the carpet cleaned himself or billing him to have it professionally extracted. If it's water based, then it can be done. It just won't be easy.
