This has to be one of the most corrupt police depts around. They have hired additional officer crushing the budget to pass out tickets like candy. The have raised most of their fines to accomodate the new police building they put put up. Officer Bogdonas and Jerkiewicz have got to be the most under educated, corrupt people on the force. Jerkiewicz lies in her reports and deceives the public. There's no way she should have a badge and gun with her integrity level being so low. The Township hired the extra officers and then made alot of the offenses into a municipal offense so the revenue from the violations stays in the township. These officers are out of control. Most of the fines, disorderly conduct and other small time offenses, are larger then in cities 20 times their size. Milwaukee D/C is a $200 fine, Township $430. Hmmm, corrupt?

Historically the Town of Beloit PD has NEVER had a very good reputation. I was hopeful that once a new chief was in place, things would become more pro-active but the Legend of Tilley continues.
In a town of 8000 people which is basically a decent area they have to think of ways to generate revenue to justify all the policemen they have and give them something to do. That is why their tickets are so high in comparison to other areas and why they have their administrative fees. I'm sure they have a contract with DJ's Towing and receive kickbacks.
The taxpayers in the Town of Beloit are paying for their new "taj mahal." Who knows what they do with all their administrative fees. They are held accountable to no one. Maybe they can help finance the new Town of Beloit Fire Dept??
Most residents are hard working, law abiding citizens. I fear every day I drive in the Town of Beloit to get to work. Mainly this fear is based on if I slide off of Inman which is one of the worst maintained roads in the Town during winter, my vehicle will be towed and I have no recourse.
Most citizens don't even know what is going on in the Township. The PD's website is out of date. It is rare you read anything in the paper about happenings in the Town of Beloit. They send no notices and I've lived here for years.
Rather than promoting goodwill and respect, the PD has continued to choose to remain reactive instead of proactive.
It's unfortunate that all we ever hear about the PD are the horror stories-I'm beginning to think there aren't any good ones to tell.
What's next for the Town of Beloit PD? A Swat Team maybe? Think of that!!Posted 11-02-2008 at 02:58 AM by saddened -
We do not allow defame or slaughtering of public figures in City-Data. However, I do understand your situation. Perhaps contacting your state Congressman, or climb the ladder to get better results?
