Should I sue the school for neglect on the principals part?

My daughter was sexally assulated by another kid in her class, he has been touching and poking at her private parts for about 3 weeks now, we just found out. WE immediately took her to the ER had her examined and met the detectives at the school the very next morning. The detectives talked to my daughter and started the investigation, they found out that this kid has done this to two other kids in the class. The princiapl didn't make an appearance at this conference. She later told the detective that she didn't think it was a big deal, that we should have done things differently. She said we should have come to the school first this morning before going to the ER and talked with her so she could smooth things over. Smooth things over when my daughter is 6. She also put up an arguement when the detectives told her to move the little boy out of the classroom into another because she didn't want to disrupt his life and make it hard on him. Him, the one who caused this. She also imformed the detective that we (the victim family) would have an uphill road to climb from this point on with her. She has not once called to check on our daughter or apologize for not being in the meeting. She has completely lost her lack of ability to be a principal. I have no idea what to do other than to sue the school (her) for thinking that sexual assualt should be just swept under the rug instead of delt with in 1st grade....... Comments please, suggestions as to what to do?
