CHILDCARE on a school calendar

Posted 11-23-2008 at 07:17 AM by luv2teach1

I am a certified teacher, pre k-6, with 10 years experience and a mother of a 5 and 8 year old. I am contemplating opening a group family day care in western suffolk county, long Island. I was hoping for feedback from parents as to:
*What are your childcare needs?
*Is there a need for childcare after PT kindergarten?
*I would like to have my program run on a school calendar, so I will be available for my family as well. Therefore, I would have to serve parents who are stay at home or children of teachers. How difficult will it be to attract these people?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
