Moving to Ft Walton Beach from Upstate NY in June

Hi, I am a 51 year old single woman with a neutered cat. Ha ha. I'm planning on relocating by the 1st of JUne to the Ft Walton Beach area to be closer to my family in Mobile, Al. I am currently on section 8 and employed part time. Does anyone have any info on housing? I'd prefer a small house or 1 bedroom apt. I would like to live in a decent area obviously. Is there something like a landlord list that accepts section 8 vouchers. Mine is good for two months. My daughter and her husband will also be relocating. She is in the Air Force in Hampton,Va, and will be near the base there. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!:)
