CD is doing it for CD's SEO. We get to use this site for free as long as it delivers traffic and pays the bills via ads.

Besides, that is stealing, and I know you didn't mean to imply that I would do THAT.
Reblogging is a venue for kudos, commentary, further investigation, the chance to examine the thoughts in a manner that may be off topic in the thread in which it is originally posted.
But, to steal someone else's work to take credit for it? Reasonable grounds for banishment, I think.
So, reblogging, which includes credit for the quote, would be an enhanced version of quoting another member for expansion of the conversation, not for theft of credit for a thought.
