live in pa and work in ny

i live in northeast pa and would love to travel to ny city to work as a legal secretary. the pay is much higher and the benefits are great, at least from what i've seen on job postings. it is only about 104 miles for me to travel, and all i would really have to worry about is the snow in the winter. does anyone know the best and shortest way to travel to ny? if anyone has any comments, please feel free to share.
