leaving,Massachusetts,to Durham N.C.

I am planning on leaving Mass.to live in Raliegh N.C. sometime in Sept 2009,and need info on the area such as weather,the job market,finding a condo,or house ,the average rate of pay for blue collar work as of now I earned 26,000 a year working with seniors citizens,pay $1,250 mortage,ins.taxes,,$400,for utilties,$650 car ins.(min.wage in Mass, is $8.00) any info. in the Durham C.O. will be appreciated!
