san fransisco trip

I want informaton for a trip to san fransico. I need a rental car, hotel, there will be two couples so we need two rooms or suite. I want to know when is a good time to visit and where to go. I know I want to go to Alcatraz, fishermans wharf and other things to do. We are staying four days. I do not think I will be able to go again so I really want to see everything I can.
