Early Morning In The Woods

Good Morning!
Still dark here in the woods and the night critters are going back into hiding for the day. The turkeys are gobbling and making a fuss on the roof (where they spent the night), the dogs are howling and the deer are going into the forest.
Looks a lot like rain today. That's OK, we can use it here. If our woods get too dry, it's a worry about fire. I'm going to start posting in my new thread....Remembering. There are some out there that probably won't accept some of my memories of growing up with my sisters, but that's their problem. I'm the last of the line and I remember things very well. Here's my prayer for you today:
In the early morning,
With the sun's first rays.
All God's little children
Thank and pray and praise.
I, too, thanks would offer,
Jesus, Shepherd dear,
For Thy tender pasture,
For Thy guiding care.
And I would implore Thee,
Be with me this day,
Lest I from Thee wander,
Into danger stray. Amen.
