Messy cake!

I could only laugh as I put the almond slivers on his cake..... it kept me from crying. Today is his birthday and it is the first of his birthdays that I will have spent with him.
While usually the cakes I make are beautiful as well as delicious, this thing is just a huge mess. Everything on it tastes good, but the thing is a wreck.
I have come a long way in this life, I am happy to say, and I suppose this will be the first of many messy cakes between the two of us...
At the end of the day, I love him and he loves me, and a little bit of chocolate between the two of us is nothing but a good thing...
With him still rubbing my face and gently kissing me in the morning to either wake me or tell me goodbye, what more could I ask for? I don't think there could be a whole lot, to tell you the truth.

Its so sweet that first year...
No matter what they do, everything is ok and can be worked out...
Its after years and years of the same ol thing, when he doesnt do this, or forgets that or leaves the seat up one time too many that you get your gun out and blow the rascal away ROTFLOL...(No, not really, but it amuses me to think of what craziness the wimmin think when we keep goofing up and they have to constantly remind us of what not to do, and for the umpteenth time to put the seat down or else!!!!!! LOL....)
Love is wonderful and I hope that the star shines brightly and long for both of you, and that the simple things get overlooked and forgotten in the past.
Never hold a grudge, never go to bed angry, and always look for the future to a better tomorrow
