As for the background check issue, you just have to suck it up. There are consequences for illegal actions and you are now reaping what you sowed.
I lost a position in 2009 at a medical billing Ans collections agency. Administrative Termination. At the time, I didn't know what that meant. One of my former supervisors at the company hired me in 2010 at a different facility. She advised that I was let go because they were uncomfortable having a "gay, black" girl in the office. This supervisor resigned after unsuccessfully tryin to defend me. She brought me on at her new place of employment for a short term temp assignment.

I was laid off in Feb due to lack of program hours for the Medicare project I was on. After networking with other producers, I have learned that working for a third party is much less lucrative than being an independent agent.
