Tithing issue in African Churches
Posted 08-02-2014 at 04:14 AM by Yeshua
Since I was sucked out of a church because of rebuking the 10% tithing law, the pastor of the church I left keeps on informing pastors of other churches of my position. It seems like closing doors for me.
Will people go to paradise only if they belong to a church as members and are 100% tithers or because they believe in Jesus Christ as a true savior?

Organized religion is a psychological ploy to control the insecure and the lonely. Those pastors and ministers who prey on their flock for thithes with promises of eternal heavenly life are not spreading the words of our God the Father or His Son Jesus Christ. What they are doing is stealing from the poor to pay for lavish lifestyles while their flock struggles to put food on their tables and clothes and shoes on their children feet. This was not the message that Christ brought to us. Nor is it the message given to us in the bible. If we live our life according to the first five books of the old testament, which is where Christ`s message was derived, then we shall find eternal peace. The new testament did not evolve for centuries after the death of Jesus. Jesus taught Torah for he was a Jew. For in the Torah are all the mysteries of life and every answer we need to live our life. The Moslems also subscribe to the same five books. Though the call Him Allah, He is the same God. We are all one in His eyes. So to your question, your answer is "no". Jesus taught that, after you have provided for you and your family needs, then and only then do you tithe to the church. Not before. It makes you wonder how much the ministers and pastors tithe. From what I have observed and the luxury in which they live, it isn't very much.

If you tithe and feel good about it then great. If you cannot or do not want to give 10% of your income to a church that too is great. If you just want to attend church and sit in the back and learn about God then that is great. If you don't attend church and are against religion then great. It's up to you how and where you spend your time, money and who you listen to.
The main thing is that you are happy. You get to chose so make good choices that fit your needs and desires. Regardless of what you want you will need to make the effort to get it. Don't let negative people ruin your day because they are unhappy and want you to crab about things just as they do.
Bottom line is you are not required to pay for anything except taxes and healthcare. Everything else is up to you.Posted 02-11-2015 at 04:16 PM by KiteAtNight -
Tithing has nothing to do with the life of grace today.......it was setup for the 12 tribes of Israel and was essentially a tax on the people to keep the "government" or Levitical priesthood in operation. The Levites were not allowed to own land.....so the other 11 tribes contributed food. 11 times 10% = 110%..........tithes were always FOOD. This was for Israel under the law. Gentiles over here are under GRACE.......and we are to give freely what we feel led to give.........from 1% to 100%..........whether you tithe or not has nothing to do with your salvation. You believe the gospel and you believe Jesus who gave the message of grace to the least likely candidate........Apostle Paul.
