[quote=SusanG_O;13999125]We bought a home in EB that was a Parade Home for 267K. 2460', 3bd, 2.5 baths, 4 years ago.
We plan to stay because my daughter lives fifteen miles from here.
Pros of EB are: many gorgeous trees; pink street lamps; yards are kept up by the same six or eight men; you can drive to the country club and pick up dinner; lovely pool; real quiet place; gated with guard; club house with bar and fireplace they "claim" to be remodeling; fences are all black metal and look really nice; town homes that may be available=probably not; tennis courts ; gym near pool; huge remodeled grocery store three miles away; homes overlooking Lake Palestine start at $900K with several for sale; underground utilities.
Cons: no garage sales permitted which greatly inhibits meeting people; clubhouse food is just ok; many cutbacks with new manager such as no more food delivery to pool; gym is too hot and thermostat is covered; monthly fees upon fees; only place to eat within three miles is a Sonic. After that, a fifteen minute drive to Tyler driving 70mph;
Pool does not open until the Real hot weather starts then closes just as it's becoming nice. Nobody even goes there in August=the water is too warm. They charge a pretty penny for guests. Ants bite your toes-you really need to spray your feet and foliage at the pool. If you have teenagers who THINK they'll have other teens to visit think again. I've seen ONE teenager here. And a handful of kids you only see on Halloween. I have NEVER seen anyone of ANY age ride a bike here. And it's quite safe. ![Confused](https://pics3.city-data.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif)
