Texas is diverse...go East from Dallas to encounter many trees and lakes. Dallas has "poor" climate in terms of heat, tornadoes and hurricanes coming up from Gulf. I grew up in Houston but it has changed with "nicer" neighborhoods now found in some suburbs such as The Woodlands (North). I have lived in Cape Coral, Florida since 1986 and really like it..not many hurricanes and not too hot compared to other areas in nation. Personally, I would not want to move to Dallas.
