Where r the Best Extended Stay Hotels in Phoenix, Arizona?

My family and I (my husband, daughter, yellow lab and myself) need to find a good Extended Stay Hotel that is cheap. I would like to be in the Phoenix area or maybe Chandler. Phoenix would be better to be close to the Arizona State University. The light rail could be a possibility if it was in a good location where my family and I would be safe.
I would like to move in between Tuesday, March 1-Friday, March 4. I would like the place to have a kitchen set to save money instead of eating out.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you for any help you can suggest.
