Sunday ~~ September 3, 2017 ~~ Sometimes I wonder why I put my vehicle in *D*...

Posted 09-03-2017 at 09:44 PM by CSD610

I had to be out among humans today and I am serious when I say I wonder why I put my vehicle in Drive. Everyone is in such a hurry, driving dangerously, driving too fast and just being a general pain in my bumper.
My question is why, why are so many in such a hurry? Isn't the posted speed limit enough?
What is so important that many have to drive so carelessly?
Is the rest of your life a hurry as well? What
exactly are you hurrying to? An early grave?
An accident? An appointment to make more money?
For what? When you die as we all do none of that is going to go with you. Someone else is going to enjoy all the money you so desperately needed to hurry through life for.
Perhaps your spouse and children will be able to live comfortably after you are gone because you were distracted and hurried yourself to an early grave. I'm sure they and their new partner will appreciate all of your hurried money that was made.

Think about your current life and the life of your children. Do you hurry them through their day being involved in more than one activity?
Why add more activities to their life? Why not
take away a couple activities and stay home with them? Put away the cell phone, turn off the electronics and play board games, have a pillow fight, create a mud pie.
When I was a child we did not have anything close to a *play date*, all we had was *play*. If we were alone we used our imagination and entertained ourselves. In the summer we were outside from dawn to dusk it seems. My Mother would come outside and play with us. Not all day or everyday but she did. In the winter or on a rainy day she would sit down and color with us or play Yahtzee or a board game and we would have popcorn and fun.

So, tell me again exactly why so many are in such a hurry. So much is missed when one hurries their life away. One doesn't even know the roses exist let alone being able to smell them.

Take a day and go slow, relax in your own skin, take a break from outside stimulation, listen to nothing, learn from the silence, embrace the thoughts that flow through the slowed darkness, hear your life, hear your ideas, love your imagination.
Take a real honest look at what is important in your life and compare that list to what
should be important in your life.
I've heard some say it takes one full year to plan a wedding but how long does it take to plan the after wedding? Which is more important the wedding itself or the after wedding? It takes 9 months from conception to birth *usually* so you have 9 months to plan for that but how long does it take to plan the rest of the moments after that 9 months?

Anyway, a few thoughts to ponder if you choose to do so:

Do you have a favorite onion?
Do you get a pedicure at a salon?
Do you like Gospel music?
Have you ever got jalapeno juice in your eye?
How many pencils do you have in your desk?

As usual I wish you restful sleep and peaceful dreams when it comes time for you to wander your timbers of slumber.
