Pasive euthanasia is legal in many european countries including Spain since few years ago, so by this thread I mean Spain will decriminalise active euthanasia, same than The Netherlands and Belgium.

Active euthanasia, as in giving people the right to terminate their own life, has just been legalised in one state for people with a fatal illness who have less than six months to live. As health care is overall a state responsibility it would need to be approved state by state. A similar bill recently failed to pass the upper house in NSW.
Gay marriage has perhaps been in the background a bit partly because de facto relationships between all couples, regardless of sex, have almost all the same legal rights as legal marriages.
Australia is actually somewhat conservative partly as so many of our newer immigrants are quite socially conservative ie Chinese, Indian, other Asian which make up sizeable groups.
