More than half of Americans blame President Trump for the government shutdown, at the moment. But support for the Wall per a CNN poll is up from 34 to 39% of respondents. He may wish to consider ending the Government shutdown and focus on a longer-term win via with said-Wall.
I’m searching, but not finding, very many (if-any) stories about upsides to walling off Mexico from the United States, in at least key smuggling areas. Trade can of course continue via the re-negotiated NAFTA and other agreements. As far as uncontrolled migration, however...

- Reduction of disease: uncontrolled population flow means additional Third World disease brought into our nation.
- Environmental savings: swarming aliens leave destruction in their path across the deserts of the Southwestern United States.
- Walling off Economic Terrorists from ****hole Central American countries: there isn’t any more room for unskilled labor in this country, in a rapidly modernizing economy, especially for aliens who hide in ghettos in our major cities and refuse to assimilate or obey immigration law. We will have enough trouble with a US population half of which is incapable of holding jobs in the new technology-based economy.
- Reduction in criminal behavior by illegal aliens, via sheer numbers. Deportations need to stick, repeated offenders moved into gulag or other prison. Preferably in their own countries.
