Censorship

I have been watching several people on You Tube voice their concerns about having their channel taken down if they say the wrong word or voice an opinion that doesn't sit well with "some" people. They are taking steps so you don't lose their channel and can find them elsewhere on line. I really hadn't thought much about this until the other evening.
While attending a comedy performance, the entertainer was interrupted because he was not being sensitive enough. Basically, all the dumb Dora, dumb blonde, can't fix stupid with duck tape jokes are offensive. (no, that's not what was said--but on the same line). What's a comedian to do?
It seems that this world is turning into an emotionally fragile group of people that can't deal with anything they don't want to hear. But what I don't get is why they will listen to music that is far more demeaning or explicit.
Freedom of speech is not what it use to be.
