Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Immeasurably More Than We Ask Or Imagine

Posted 07-18-2020 at 06:26 PM by Albert Finch

"The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand..." (Deuteronomy 28:8).

Notice that YOUR HAND, releases God's provision in your life. God has commanded His blessing on everything you put your hand to do. You may have found yourself in waters that are deep, dark and troubled by the waves of life, but God is reaching down His arm to rescue you. He is your salvation. Moses and the children of Israel even sang a song about the hand of God smashing their enemy: "Your right hand, O Lord, is glorious in power. Your right hand, O Lord, smashes the enemy." (Exodus 15:6 NLT)
God is doing the same things for you right now that He did for the children of Israel.

GOD'S RIGHT HAND AND HIS ARM

"For they got not the land [of Canaan] in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but Your right hand, and Your arm..." (Psalms 44:3)

The writer of Psalm 44 is unknown; although, we can ascertain in Psalm 44 the calamitous circumstances that are described in the sacred song. The psalmist sings of the faithfulness of God to rescue His children in times past. Israel was not rescued by the strength of flesh or by their natural ability. Rather, the psalmist reaffirms that it was by God's right hand, and His arm.

Your back may be against the wall and you're facing impossible circumstances; you need to remind yourself that you have history with God. The same God that rescued you before is the same God that will come through for you today. God is rescuing you with His arm. In what God is doing for you, He alone will receive the glory. This breakthrough is beyond anything that can be done by the flesh.

"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us." (Ephesians 3:20).

DELIVERANCE FROM DISAPPOINTMENT

"So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders that I will do in it; after that, he will let you go." (Exodus 3:20)

The language of the Lord's hand and arm are first discovered in the book of Exodus. It conveys the strength of God's deliverance, resulting in the release of God's people from bondage. Many have been carrying the heavy weight of the sting of disappointment and crushed dreams. Your taskmaster has not relented in his affliction upon you.
Your adversary has come to try to destroy you, ensuring that you will never get up from the ashes of hopelessness. His arm is strong to save, and as He stretched His arm to release the Israelites from their taskmaster, so shall He do it for you -- you will see the strength of His hand!

Your hand is being reset to trigger rapid movement on His purpose for your life. He will display to you the great force of His arm against your enemy. Like Nehemiah, His hand is good upon you to accomplish your Christ calling. It fights your enemy on one side and rests upon you on the other.

ARISE AND SHOW FORTH HIS GLORY

He is breaking the grip of the enemy -- His hands have been choking the life out of many, leaving them gasping for air. But His mighty hands are breaking his hold and there is a divine reversal. His hands will restrict your adversary -- He is breathing a second wind of life into you. You will arise and will show forth His glory.

Take courage, for since the enemy attacked you both privately and publicly, God is going to bless you both privately and publicly.
