Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Sandy Cortez Made A Movie? Seriously?

And you thought Hollywood was on the decline? Well, sports fans, it is, but now, actors, actresses, and writers aren't the only ones suffering their losses because their movies didn't get to be box-office smashes.

Add politicians to the pile of Hollywood cinema garbage that people aren't paying tickets to view.

You won't believe this, but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (or, as I prefer to call her, Sandy Cortez; after all, it just sounds better) actually had the gall to create a movie. This flick, however, is in the form of a documentary. Bet you can't guess what this chick flick, er, I mean, documentary is about? What Sandy Cortez keeps crying wolf about and had been doing so ad nauseum for a few years now. It's this myth called climate change.

More or less, it's a waste of a flick about climate nonsense. Our country is suffering enough as it is, but none of it for the reasons Sandy Cortez wants you to think. That's another subject altogether for another day. Did you hear about how much this movie grossed? How about $80 per theater? That's right, per theater!! In all, 120 theaters in these United States were showing this monumental waste of precious film (assuming theaters still use those old projectors of yore). I'm sure they've actually stepped up the technology a little bit, but that's not important now. Nobody is flocking to see this garbage, ladies and gentlemen.

Furthermore, how anybody could sit through that nonsense is beyond this writer's understanding. If any watcher had left during the presentation, rest assured it wasn't because of stale popcorn.
