Need Housing In Hampton County, Sc

My husband is taking a teaching job in Hampton County, SC. He needs a rental...a a mobile home in a park, a mobile home on private property, or small house to rent from year to year for himself. We even thought of Walterboro more than anything, but it is a long drive but at least there is civilization there. What's Varnville or Hampton or Islandton or Walterboro like? Are there rentals that are reasonable? We were down there for 1 1/2 days but saw nothing not knowing where to drive. Our family will be living back here in Chester County (our costs to live back at our home) during the school year. I can't seem to find anything on the internet. The realtors haven't answered or said their cheap homes listed for $20,000 are not liveable, yet they are for sale anyway not mentioning that in their ads!
