Farewell..

Posted 03-31-2009 at 09:41 AM by cg81
Farewell, friends!

It's been a wild ride. 2 amazing years... but it seems like it's time to move on.

My eyes and thoughts have been opened to many sides of life.. many viewpoints, beliefs.

I trust I've emerged stronger. Better equipped. Not just to "fight", but to empathize. To understand. To realize that we all come from many different places, but really, there is more to us that is the same than that is different. We have many of the same needs, the same goals.. happiness, peace, fulfillment.

We were created by the same God.

To those who seek, whether openly or in a hidden way... Courage! God is there. He is real. He loves you. Those that seek Him WILL find Him!

To those who deny Him... God is still there. Waiting. He will always be there for anyone who turns to Him. And hell is real... I say this not to coerce or scare anyone.. but I must say it, for I believe it. And I don't want ANYONE to go there. I love you all, whoever you are!

To those Christians who are disillusioned with church.. who crave spiritual fellowship, who long for the New Testament relationship.. Courage! I believe it can be found. Don't give up. Don't become stagnant. Just follow Him, and open your heart to His leading. Keep seeking it...

To everybody else, I sincerely wish you well! I hold no hard feelings towards anyone.. and I apologize if I've been the cause of any ill feelings.

I may be leaving City-Data R&P behind.. but I'm not forsaking the friendships I've made. People I will carry in my heart for the rest of my life. Hopefully we can keep in touch! Send me a DM or email. Maybe we can meet in person someday.

Take care... God bless you all!

Your friend,
cg81

    I know this well...

... that you have taught and shared and have helped others grow, think and challange. There is a season for everything and it just may be your season of posting is over. But that's okay. You'll be missed but you must go where God leads.

May the road rise to meet your feet and may God be the light along your journey.

One of the things June has in her bookcase in her office is a perfectly formed, empty bird's nest that she found a while back. -And every time she looks at it, June thinks of you. Amazing the things that turn up in our lives that help assist in preserving those memories and messages that we hold most dear, that in turn remind us to do the little things: to look at the post-it's that we tape to our desks that simply say "But it was just enough."

Thank you for having lent June your heart. Thank you for having had the sensitivity that matched my own, for knowing when silence means we need to be sought out. Thank you for having been an incredibly calm and gentle voice from far away that afternoon...Thank you for what you have given me: the ability to remember you by an item on my shelf that but for you would not have the symbolism that it otherwise now has. -Because it is just enough...

For the love you have shown this person, all the while encouraging her in her never ending free fall, simply: Thank you. I love you, my friend.

    Take gentle care.
