Good schools to work at in kc

I am planning on moving to the Kansas City area in the summer.
I am a teacher and am starting to look for a position for the 2009-2010 school year.
I would like to live in downtown Kansas City.
I am not familiar with the area can some one please help me and let me know how I should go about finding a position for next year!
