OK so like I said I am very passionate when it comes to some things. One of those is injustice. I have posts re: whether William Heirens should be released from prison. I don't take this subject lightly. I am a mother - I do have empathy for the families of the 3 people that were murdered...I also have spent countless hours reading up on this & I 100% believe that Bill Heirens was used as a scapegoat. I believe that he should be able to spend the remainer of his life free. I know that the state of Illinios will more than likely NEVER admit to steamrolling this teenager - now longest serving prisoner in their state but he has more than paid for his petty thefts. If anyone really cares to know the truth rather than just weighing in "blind" . . . I beg of you to read - not just the baised news coverage of the time but read everything.
