My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

I think I may buy a syringe and drain my own knee!

Two Christians came over tonight, brought me crutches, food galore, spent an hour just chit chatting with me, joined me in praying together, even took out my garbage and turned on the water spigot in the yard so that my water tank could fill up again.

Not that, go to a building on Sunday and sit in some pew listening to some professional get up and speak for an hour and sit among hundreds who don't even know a thing about me or what I am going through.

What these Christians did for me tonight is LOVE in action!!

You can keep that other stuff that goes on in them buildings. I want no part of the superficial organized nonsense that so often passes for Church these days.

I realize that some real Church happens there too but overall I think most people haven't got a clue what BEING the Church is all about.

Most people think it's a place you go to.

It's not about going to a building on Sundays and singing some songs and listening to some sermons folks! The Church may engage in such things but THAT is NOT Church as if that is all a Church does and is.

Church is a living thing that is embodied in the loving relationships between members of His Body. Church is what happens when members of His Body act like Christ to love one another.

Every day of the week.

And real Church happened tonight in my trailer as I sat around in my underwear (from not being able to put on a pair of pants). My humble trailer table became the altar as we interacted with each other.

Our communication with each other and our prayers rose up into the heavenlies as a fragrant offering of delight to our God.

One of the Christians told me about how he has removed fluid from his knee on his own sometimes and it got me to thinking if I might at some point want to do that myself.

So I went a searching and found a YouTube diy video!

If anyone wants to view the video it's quite instructional and worth watching.

Though I should warn anyone going to see it that it's...well...not for viewing by those with weak stomachs.

A guy who is not a doctor but calls himself one drains his own knee fluid!

YouTube - Knee Draining #2 : A must see.....

Please bear in mind that my knee does not look anywhere near as ugly or deformed as his did in the video. Mine is a kind of handsome and well proportioned swelling LOL. But still the same with respect to having fluid in the knee.

That was a great experience of gathering together, but you are still left to face your own malady.
If you have gout, there is no draining, you just have to let it run its course. However you talked about other joint pain. I suffered from not only joint pain but carple tunnel syndrome after working for so many years as an accountant on computers and adding machines. It was so bad, when I drove to work, I would have to pry my hands off the steering wheel of my car. Our company employed a physical therapist who gave me some physical excersizes because I was stooping over my desk and also recommended I start taking a vitamin B complex. Prior to that time, there were nights when my joint pain was so bad I would cry all night and still not be able to sleep. When I started taking the vitamin B complex which I bought at Grocery Outlet for about $5.00 for 100 tablets, absolutely all my joint pain disappeared. There was one time when I was extremely busy on my job and I ran out for about 2 weeks and I began to experience the same problems as before. When I resumed my intake of vitamin B, I was fine. My last bottle of 100 asprins lasted 1.5 years before I discarded the remaining 1/3 because it was out of date. I now take a multivitamin, because I have a poor appetite and sometimes go 2-3 days without wanting to eat and at night I take a calcium/magnesium to help me sleep. It is amazing how a few supplements in our lives can make all
the difference in how we feel.
