Considering moving the family to Bald Knob, Arkansas

My family and I currently live in San Antonio, TX. Although most of our family and friends live here, and we enjoy the city, we are ready to change our lifestyle. My father owns land in Bald Knob, Arkansas, and has offered to sign over part of it to us, at no cost, so we could build a house. We recently visited the Greers Ferry area and fell in love with the natural beauty. We would love to live in a slower paced, more natural area with lakes, rivers, natural springs, fishing, and camping. Since we have 2 young children we also need to consider the schools in the area. We wonder if we would be welcomed in the town. This would be a big change for us. Any comments are appreciated.
