My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego | List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post . Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.

I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.

Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.

Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).

And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me )...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!

Thanks.

Carlos

PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

The Christians are nowhere near what they should be and I don't know what to do about it...

Yeah, maybe we often want to return to the ancientry, because the human beings were so sincere and selfless at that time.
Treasure makes us offish on the contrary.
    It's a pity.

We can't control others ,but we can keep sincere in our own heart.
So please be happy carlos,God is still together with you.

Yes it is a pity Haller. For sure.

And you are of course absolutely correct in saying that I can't control others anymore than I can do much about circumstances that may come upon me from time to time.

But every once in a while my Christian brothers and sisters need a big fat wake up call. As in "WAKE UP!".

I guess I always hold out the hope that some sincere Christian in the San Diego area will see my post, be convicted about what I am saying, call me up and say "Let's get together and talk about this.." and maybe, just maybe...will be willing to take God at His Word and start doing something about what we read.

In many respects Haller I would rather be in China where you are and be among Christians that are perhaps persecuted and suppressed in their practice. At least then all the superficial nonsense that passes for Christianity in North America would be no more or so rare that I wouldn't even notice.

Even where I am living...in one of the richest areas sorrounding San Diego you find multi-million dollar church buildings all over the place. I mean even the rich have their church buildings to go and sit in on Sundays!

    Air conditioned no doubt!

While the world goes to hell in a handbasket. Utterly ridiculous.

If Jesus was around today he would be going around saying and doing exactly what he did. Calling out all the hypocrites, the whitewashed tombs, the religious charlatans, and the monuments to materialism that so many church buildings have become.

Imagine for one minute what would happen if some multi-million dollar church building sold their building and gave the proceeds to the poor! That would have more impact for the Kingdom of God than 1000 religious sermons said in a thousand Church buildings!

But we continue to pour ridiculous amounts of money into buildings that won't last one second into eternity, to adorn our tombstones, to sing our nice church music, to listen to our nice sermonettes, to have our nice jobs, and home, and cars and to bow down every night to the idol in our living rooms (our TV) while all along thinking we are following in the footsteps of He who was crucified for us. Who was spat upon and despised.

    Utterly and completely ridiculous!

    Carlos
