My Daily Life and Thoughts while in San Diego |
List of Best Posts
This blog is where I express myself to the world or at least to those who might stop by to read what I post
. Maybe God will use what I post (I am a Christian and this blog will have a most decidedly Christian bent to it) to good effect in the lives of my readers.
I may turn some of my posts into a book. I may cease blogging here altogether. Who knows. But for now..I am content to post away in this, my own little corner of the world.
Rather than reading through my now lengthy list of posts you may wish to read what I consider to be my very best posts or you can just read the posts that deal with a single subject category that might interest you.
Please know that I am open to any input on any topic I write about. If you have something to say about anything you see written here please....feel free to speak up in the form of leaving a comment or sending me a PM (private message).
And if you are in San Diego and wish to meet the one and only Carlos (that's me
)...drop me a private message. I always enjoy meeting one of my readers!
Thanks.
Carlos
PS. If you want to follow my blog such that you will get an email when I write new posts you can subscribe to my blog.

My food is taken care of for the next month!
I just finalized a new deal with my landlord. This is a seperate deal than the one we already have where I do web development work for him in exchange for the rent per month he would normally charge for my room.
Under this addtional deal he will cover all food costs for me for the next 30 days. And he will put up the money to purchase up to 15 domains and hosting for them in exchange for my creating websites on which we will put Adsense ads on. In line with some outstanding resources that I have uncovered on how to become successful with Adsense.
He will end up with 7 of these web sites and I will end up with 8.
What a blessing for both me and him!
He gets what he wants and I will get what I want with both of us having great hopes for this new endeavour on which we are embarking.
Now I know that a lot of people have failed with Adsense but the fact is that a lot of people have also succeeded very well in making a living through it.
I have some of the best mentors in this field imaginable. Guy and gals who are well known in internet marketing circles. And I don't mean the usual guru types who are mostly hype and who mostly just want to sell you stuff.
I mean the real deal. Real people who have reached pinnacles of success in Adsense and who are graciously willing to share their hard earned insight with me and others through forums that they frequent. At no charge!
Many of these folks are making much more money than they need and they just enjoy hanging out on forums and sharing their knowledge with those just starting out.
I am very hopeful that me and my landlord will do very well using Adsense as a springboard to allowing us to do other things with whatever money we ultimately end up earning.
In addition to the above my biggest client got a hold of me today to let me know he will have more work for me starting tomorrow. So money from that will start rolling in 15 days after I finish his new project. His projects are usually around $250-400 dollars a pop.
And...another person who saw me talking about things on a forum I frequent was impressed enough to want to discuss joining with me in some sort of joint venture (again related to Adsense) where I will probably build him web sites. Lots of web sites. In line with what I am skilled at doing and that I have developed a system to do. I call my system...Simple Websites Made Easy (SWME) and it involves PHP object code classes that I now use to create all my web sites very quickly and easily.
So lots of promise on the horizon.
As always the promise may not pan out to be the reality but a few weeks ago the Lord seemed to impress my heart through a few verses I read that I am about to enter into a time of my life where I will be richly blessed financially. We will soon see if what I heard was indeed the Lord impressing that on my heart.
As of today I remain with only about $15 left to my name. But also as of this moment my landlord will be taking care of my food needs. At least for the next 30 days.
I am amazed that in the last 5 days I only spent a whopping .89 cents on a can of kidney beans for food. I've never eaten for so long on so little and I have even had a decent amount to eat.
This last Sunday I went to a church picnic and my Christian friends divided up the food that was left over among us. I walked away with a bunch of little oranges, apples, and some hot dog buns. In addition I have been eating lots of potatoes (I got 2 5lb bags for $1.25 each!) and some bread.
You see how the Lord provides? If you had asked me two weeks ago as to how in the world I was going to be able to eat living in one of the richest and most expensive places to live in all of the San Diego area...I wouldn't have been able to tell you. Oh...I had some idea that my landlord might be willing to trade some food for extra time once we ran out of my agreed hours for rent time but I had no clue it would be this extensive.
30 days of food provided to me and not some rinky dink food either (along with a couple of other things) in exchange for creating 7 Adsense sites. I will not only get the food and stuff but he will pay for the site hosting and domain registration of my sites too.
A win/win for us both!
My landlord has turned out to be a wonderful guy to live with. Gracious and easy to get along with. And best of all he has now become my business partner...at least for the next 15 web sites! He knows that when I start making enough out of my sites to do so that I will no longer need him as a partner and will forge ahead on my own but in the process I will also be teaching him the fundamentals of how to do these things on his own too.
Praise God!
Carlos
