If Only Fort Stockton Could Be Another Abilene

After you've traveled four to six hours on I-10 coming from either direction of Fort Stockton, don't you think you should have a bigger oasis? A larger Fort Stockton would be perfect.

More Left Wing Hypocrisy: What Sanctuary City Mayors Really Think About Illegal Aliens

Liberals, you wanted illegal aliens in your cities. So now, why change your mind now? What are you people scared of? What are those "harmless" illegals going to do to you? Didn't Nancy Pelosi once call them "gifts of love"?

You wanted them. Now you don't. So which is it?

DIY oh my! and tips when renting out a property

    Use a Background checking service

I am a landlord and have been for many years.
The most important thing you can do is to use a reputable reporting and credit check service. Here in Utah for my company that renovates and leases apartment units, letsfixitup.com, I utilize a service call Western Reporting, thet charge a fee of $40.00 that I in turn pass on to the applicant. They will check credit, credit history, back ground check, criminal records, verify job and call previous landlords. This has saved me a ton of headaches.

    You are wrong.

A food desert is an area where food is not available. If a restaurant with food is present in an area, the area is not a food desert.

    Thank you.

Doing a blog at City-Data is a new experience for me. I can think of many things to write about. When an idea reaches a point where I can write enough about it and is relevant to the City-Data audience, I will craft and share something worth reading.

Salvation for Fallen Humans & Fallen Angels (A Practical Guide)

    Here is an example of a military leader, not a priest, known as Judas offering up money for the atonement of sin. We can offer up our good works for the atonement of another's sin in the afterlife. Please read;

2 Maccabees 12:38-46. Expiation for the Dead. 38 Judas rallied his army and went to the city of Adullam. As the seventh day was approaching, they purified themselves according to custom and kept the sabbath there. 39 On the following day, since the task had now become urgent, Judas and his companions went to gather up the bodies of the fallen and bury them with their kindred in their ancestral tombs. 40 But under the tunic of each of the dead they found amulets sacred to the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear. So it was clear to all that this was why these men had fallen. 41 They all therefore praised the ways of the Lord, the just judge who brings to light the things that are hidden. 42 [a]Turning to supplication, they prayed that the sinful deed might be fully blotted out. The noble Judas exhorted the people to keep themselves free from sin, for they had seen with their own eyes what had happened because of the sin of those who had fallen. 43 He then took up a collection among all his soldiers, amounting to two thousand silver drachmas, which he sent to Jerusalem to provide for an expiatory sacrifice. In doing this he acted in a very excellent and noble way, inasmuch as he had the resurrection in mind; 44 for if he were not expecting the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. 45 But if he did this with a view to the splendid reward that awaits those who had gone to rest in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. 46 Thus he made atonement for the dead that they might be absolved from their sin.

If Only Fort Stockton Could Be Another Abilene

While we're thinking about population, I'd like to see increases in places like Balmorhea, Pecos, Van Horn, Marfa, Alpine, Crane, Marathon, Sanderson, Shafter, Fort Davis, Grandfalls, McCamey, Belding, Bakersfield, and Sheffield. And that's not to mention the towns that don't currently exist in that part of Texas. Oh, the potential....

Meanwhile, about twenty miles northeast of Fort Stockton, we have this new oil refinery project. It's in this link: https://www.mmexresources.com/project_progress.php

That's the first time in at least three decades that an oil refinery is being built anywhere in Texas.

Another Blast From The Past, Still Open....Elsewhere

Yeah, I know. It's not going to happen. But those steaks, burgers, potatoes, and rolls, along with the savory steak sauce, were all worth going there for.
