What once was

What once was,
What once was the place where I embraced the excitement of a first kiss is now a development..
What once was the place where I could spend quality time with grandpa is now gone...
What once was the place where I could wake up every morning and know that I had everything is now just a memory.
What once was a first love is now a faint memory that still leaves pain in my heart.
What once was an envision of peace and beauty, solitude and personal guidance is now a great memory of Tennessee.
What once was a pet, a dog for that matter who slept by my side for seven years. Every night guarding me from and trouble is now in heaven guarding our father.

I haven't done a blog in a while and thought I could get the ball rolling by doing something in this style. Hopefully I can pickup and get blogs going again.

    I know what you mean Josh That was a good blog shows what a loving, caring person you are..I have 2 or three drafts that I should finish..they have been there for a long time..Maybe tomorrow..but it is great to see you again..

    Your Blog

    I was just looking again at your photo of the Porcupine Mountains and thinking back to a ski trip my now deceased husband and I had made there several years back. I was a beginner at the time and was horrified that the runs had not yet been groomed. To make matters worse, my skis were badly in need of a wax and one would stick while the other would glide. After a few falls and much frustration, I refused to ski the rest of the day. It sure was beautiful there, though!

    Didn't mean to ramble on about my memories your photo invoked. Also wanted to tell you how very much I'm enjoying reading your blog entries. Have been wanting to blog for some time now myself. Perhaps you've inspired me to think about it more seriously.
