One answer to the unanswerable questions on Faith
Posted 12-19-2008 at 09:53 PM by Whyte Byrd
When I first began my spiritual journey in earnest it lead to a lot more questions than I got answers. Too many of my questions, it seemed, couldn't be answered to my satisfaction--such as, how can there be happiness in heaven if not all our loved ones will be there, among others.
There's so much we don't know yet that we simply won't know during this lifetime--and that, to me, is ok because all we really need to know at this moment is written in the Bible--like a secrets for life's success instruction book for those who are truly seeking. Does it mean to stop asking questions and wondering? Of course not. Ask away but while you realize that questions may not be answerable to our understanding, ask yourself this too, just how important are the questions we're asking? Or are we just trying to poke holes in another's faith because we're so uncomfortable with our own--or lack thereof?
If we needed all the answers before we believed, or in order to believe, then it's not Faith, it's science. Science may have it's rightful place in religion but if that's all we needed, we'd be reading the Holy Science Book instead of The Holy Bible.

Their are reasons that we are not allowed to know all(we are not little gods. only our God in heaven knows all,and He knows our hearts) If we ask for wisdom and understanding God will provide it for us in his time and on our faith.Yes, I also get tired of the hole poking, but as it said in the Bible that we will go through trials and tribulations. (Good post)........

"such as, how can there be happiness in heaven if not all our loved ones will be there, among others."
Perhaps, we all get there it just takes some spirits longer to get there than others...and for the truly wicked they will get lost along the way, by their own doing, and won't make it through the journey to heaven.

It's by design. Our different thought patterns, emotions, etc. are all in place to ensure that we only do use 9% of our brain power at any given moment. however, through strong spiritual discipline you can conquer what it is that you are looking for. If you become balanced in mind (head) and soul (body) then you will be open enough to hear the answers from the divine.

Science has ruined a lot of people's so-called faith. For all the cool gadgets and things that we know, we really don't know much at all about our universe or purpose on Earth. It's like the more you know, the more you really don't know at all...Posted 04-21-2009 at 09:32 AM by At1WithNature
