Let's get this party started....

I've read many blogs on the internet. I've often thought to myself "why don't I do that?"
I love to read; it's a favorite passion of mine. Last year my husband bought me a Kindle for my birthday. He knows my love of reading but I think he was unprepared to see just how much I LOVE to read.
The Kindle and I were attached at the hip, or maybe by the nose
for the first few weeks. I couldn't stop myself from reading! I would get on Amazon just to find free books to read. I'm a legal thriller fan, suspense and mystery as well, but I found myself reading biography style books, as well as positive thinking books. My ultimate favorite book that I actually purchased was The Chronological Order of the Bible. I always wanted to read the good book, but I would get sidetracked and confused by reading it cover to cover. This book helps you understand. It's a daily read and I highly recommend it.
I never was a "writer" though I did work in the business of broadcasting for almost 25 years. I was a producer/director. It was a really facsinating time in my life, one I would never trade, but one I would never go back to. When I "retired" from the business due to personal reasons I vowed to never go back. And I haven't. The business has changed, not for the better mind you, and I'm getting too old to play that game anymore.
I delved into the legal field for 6 years and loved it. I wish I could go back to that. I am hoping I will someday.
I lived the majority of my life in the great state of Ohio. Ohio gets a bad rap in my opinion, because so many good things have come from the area I am from, that I can't overlook that. Dayton was my home, not my birthplace. It will always be "home".
When I was a teenager I used to draw pictures of mountains. Sounds weird I know. But I actually still have several of them. I would draw them for my mom, my dad and my grandparents. I have no talent for drawing, but something about mountains always comforted me.
Life in Ohio took a drastic change, one I hope to share here someday, but I'm not quite ready for that. My husband and I needed a re-birth in life. We knew that if we didn't, it would ruin our marriage. It is the second (and last!) for both of us. So we found ourselves making a huge decision in our lives. Where do we want to go? It was a process that took several months. We investigated every scrap of information we could find on the areas we felt were a good fit. In the end, all the pieces of the puzzle started to fit. The picture was clear once the puzzle was together...and it said Tennessee.
And that's just part one....
