Where to live near Clinton, MO

My husband is getting transferred to Clinton, MO. We have never been to Mo and need help as to where to look for our "home". We need excellent schools, not so big a city, low crime rate, but with lots to do. We have a 6 year old and we want to raise him in the best place. Any ideas? Thanks

1. 	Clinton, MO. I have posted on the Thread, but i was curious as to where you are coming from. Im not originally from Mo. but have lived here for 6 years. It has been a difficult transition for myself and my children. You may find it to be great for you. I wish you well.
