Info on moving/extended stay to Kaua'i or Big Island...any help,comments appreciated.

I vacationed in Hawaii for a month when I was 15 and fell in love. Finally 15 years later, a bad divorce with 2 kids, later I made it back for a weeks stay on Kaua'i. It turned into a 2week stay and ever since I can't stop thinking about moving there or the Big Island. Maybe not forever but when I was there @ 15 something happened to me and I fell completely in love with every aspect of the Hawaiian lifestyle. So my goal is to take the rest of this year to plan my dream of living there. I would like as many tips as possible .

How is your health? On Big Island there is a serious shortage of physicians, especially in primary care but also in the specialties. For instance we have only two orthopods in Hilo. If I have an accident and break my wrist I'll have to fly to Honolulu for care. Even they have a shortage.
