Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Finally Seeing New Lakeside Tower Project Come To Life

Posted 06-08-2017 at 04:23 PM by case44

Like with any building under construction, it's always fun to watch something come up. And there's visibility on a highly-anticipated new Flower Mound, Texas, project that promises to be a game-changer for the immediate area.

The Lakeside Tower is no longer just a hole in the ground or a thought; it's now a reality. There are layers of floors being put together as we speak. When completed, it's going to grace the northeastern shores of Lake Grapevine and give residents great views. It also will give this writer reason to drive by and look at the place, since it's only eight miles from my apartment. Not only will it be a good photo op, but it'll be a chance for me to sneak in and, at least, see the lobby with the grand piano. Also, one can just think of the view from the other side of the lake or for the boaters on it who are looking at the shoreline. Notice earlier that I said "game-changer".

North Texans cannot wait. The Lakeside Tower is visibly coming onto the scene. In case you haven't seen what it will look like, here's a link to it.

That's a sleek little project. I checked out those lake views. The new residents will sure be getting their money's worth.

Wonder if the FAA was an obstacle? While it looks like the flight paths don't go directly over it, they might run fairly close.

    Nonetheless, very nice.
