Thought I'd Give It Another try

Years ago when I was a kid, we were all sitting at the table eating watermelon. I noticed all the watermelon seeds in the ash tray and since I love watermelon I decided to grow my own.
I grabbed a few seeds and planted them in the backyard next to the porch. I watered that area every day and was surprised a few weeks later to actually see a sprout coming up from the dirt.
It got to be about 5 inches tall before a rabbit or some other critter chomped it in half. I quickly lost interest in growing things but always thought about it whenever I ate something that had seeds.
A month ago I was eating a "Halo" tangerine and it was one of the few I bought that had seeds in it. These tangerines are in the store for only a week and they charge $5.00 for a little bag of them.
I figured I would try my hand at growing my own from those seeds. This time they would be house plants so rabbits can't get them. I researched growing them on the internet and was surprised how many were grown indoors. The trees are only about 3-4 feet tall and produce around 20 tangerines.
So far my plants have grown to 6 inches. It says they take about 4 years to produce tangerines. Hopefully I won't be planted when they produce.
