Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Bed, Bath & Beyond Just May Be Seeing Its Last Days

Posted 01-09-2023 at 06:43 PM by case44

Let's first hope that this subject matter is not overexaggerating. I bring this up because, when I did my Christmas shopping last month, along with fortifying some subsequent bathroom needs in my abode, I did notice that the Bed, Bath & Beyond store chain saw its supply count be a bit less than it was a year ago.

The following was taken from a thread entitled "Bed Bath and Beyond Dying A Slow Death"....

Though they have been a very toxic company for years I somewhat hope they can turn things around since they are really one of the few places to turn to for higher end home products.

I've been shopping for sheets lately and most of what is in stores these days is absolute junk. Target has done away with their better sheets that used to be a pretty good buy. I hate buying sheets online when I cannot feel them first. Thread count only gets you so far. Many high thread count sheets are crap.
I found a decent set at BB+B finally.
Indeed, there is concern over that chain and whether or not they will remain a viable merchandise store. And, perhaps, a profitable one, which it previously was. You'd best get out there if there's really something you might need from them with long-term sustaining and maintaining. It's quite possible for companies to recover from bankruptcy, so it must still be seen whether or not Bed, Bath & Beyond can actually survive what they're very close to experiencing soon.

Good thing I got my towel rack and new shower curtains and rod when I could. We'll keep an eye on how things develop with this story.

That's terrible, BBB is/was one of my favorite stores to spend too much money in. I really hope they survive.
