  • Holly Pond is the headquarters of several local and regional companies including Jet-Pep INC. (a gas pretrolium coumpany) and Wise Trucking Company (a truking coumpany). Holly Pond is also where many years ago, Peoples Bank of North Alabama was formed, wich opened one of it's first branches in Holly Pond. Holly Pond is also the home to the first S&S Foods, a grociery store.
  • Holly Pond was founded in 1875, and incoperated in 1912. It was named for a pond that was know by travelers for it's fresh water.The pond was surronded by american holly bushes, the founders of the town called it Holly Pond.
